Writing a Novel

Well I’ve decided, I’m writing a novel. This project is probably going to start to consume my life, but don’t worry, I’ll still be blogging regularly! I’ll be sending out status updates here on the blog and still be doing my various challenges to boost my creativity! Anyway, see you later and keep writing!

“Now I don’t want any messing here, give me all of your luggage, NOW!!!” The man with a pistol was a thief.

“All o-”

“ALL OF IT!!!” the man bellowed. As Father reached for the suitcase, Mother grabbed his hand and blocked his attempt of grabbing the suitcase. She was in denial towards the man.

“What do you think you’re doing missy?” the man questioned.

Well that desire as of today has been resolved! Joe was taking the 12 hour flight from London to Tokyo with his beloved mother and father. He was an only child so he had no siblings. As he arrived in Tokyo, he stepped off the plane and took a great, deep breath of fresh Tokyo air.

Dictionary Challenge #1 – At the Beach

It was a peaceful day, sun shining, gentle ocean breeze and azure skies. The residents of the peaceful town were relaxing at the beach having a tranquilizing session with their feet up. However, There was a loud crashing noise followed by a murmuration of vociferous seagulls. Silence. The crowd rushed over to the source of the noise to catch a glimpse of what happened. To their gaze met a beached dolphin that crashed into the pier. To the crowd’s desperation, they fetched bucket, after bucket, after bucket of water to dump over the dolphins head. Meanwhile, the rest of the crowd were trying to stop the bleeding from the dolphin’s wound with their shirts followed by a bucket of sea water to hopefully sterilise the wound. Subsequently, the paramedics arrived at the scene to investigate the gathering of people as, luckily, one of the crowd members had a mobile phone just in case something happened. The paramedics tried to stop the bleeding, but the wound was too big. The dolphin, unfortunately died of blood loss.

Vociferous – Crying out noisily

Dictionary Challenge

I have found this great idea on the internet for a writing challenge! Basically each day you go to dictionary.com and look at the “Word of the Day” and that is your prompt for your short story. I will provide the definition of the word used at the end of the post (unless it’s obvious!). See you guys later!
